Here are 12 Low-Cost Air Quality Sensors on Roads with Odd-Even Rules

The Jakarta Environment Agency (LH), installed 12 units of low-cost quality sensors for air monitoring (LCS) on roads that implement an odd-even traffic policy.

Using LCS, we measure the effectiveness of the odd-even policy in reducing air pollution emissions

Those LCS can expand the range of air monitoring in Jakarta and complement the five existing standard reference air quality monitoring stations (SPKU) scattered in every area of the city.

Counseling and Public Relations Division Head, Yogi Ikhwan expressed that the LCS function evaluates the effectiveness of the odd-even implementation in pollution control.

"Using LCS, we measure the effectiveness of the odd-even policy in reducing air pollution emissions," he explained, Friday (12/9).

He added that the roads installed by LCS were based on recommendations from the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub). The LCS analysis process would take a month, then the results would be presented to the public.

"In the future, we will keep adding its existence," he added.
